Today I am interviewing Carl R. Moore, author of the new short-fiction collection, Slash of Crimson and Other Tales.

DJ: Hi Carl! Thanks for stopping by to do this interview!
For readers who aren’t familiar with you, could you tell us a little about yourself?
Carl R. Moore: I am a horror and fantasy writer living in upstate New York. My first collection, Slash of Crimson and other tales was published in the summer of 2017 by Seventh Star Press
DJ: What is Slash of Crimson and Other Tales about?
Carl: Well, as the blurb on the back flap describes, Slash of Crimson spins a dark maritime yarn about Drew Aldrin, a young guitarist and street rough, who takes a harrowing journey with a red-eyed beauty who claims she’s from Atlantis. I’d take if further here to say that it’s a story about trust in all types of relationships—business, art, romantic and even religious.
DJ: What were some of the inspirations behind Slash of Crimson and Other Tales?
Carl: I first got the idea joking with a friend about writing a satirical romance novel where it started out romantic and turned horrific. But when the characters began to breathe and speak, they took over and spun the narrative into a bit of a wild, ornate adventure. Continue reading
