DJ: Hi Lincoln! Thanks for agreeing to do this interview!

For readers who aren’t familiar with you, could you tell us a little about yourself?

Lincoln: Absolutely! So, in the real world, I am a full-time software developer. In my spare time I have two main hobbies: writing, and developing Alexa skills for Amazon devices. All in all, it keeps me incredibly busy and without much free time!

DJ: What is The Bishop’s Legacy and then the World of Shadows series about?

Lincoln: It is about a hapless priest who has spent his life convincing himself that demons are not real and then being confronted with the alternate version of that possibility in the most terrifying way possible. It also ties into the World on Fire series, which takes place twenty years later, and introduces readers to Abigail and Arthur.

DJ: What were some of your influences for the World of Shadows series?

Lincoln: I love the movie the exorcist, as well as the television show, but I also love things that have more action and excitement in them. I wanted to tell a story that was terrifying and exciting all at once and managed to capture a lot of emotions and genres. In general, my main influences stylistically are Stephen King and Isaac Asimov. Continue reading
