This month my books came from a few different sources. I won a couple giveaways, actually went out and bought a new release, and of course, hit up my local book outlet sore.
GIVEAWAYS
- Scavenger: Evolution (Sand Diver #1) by Timothy C. Ward
- Edge of Dark (The Glittering Edge #1) by Brenda Cooper
I was lucky enough to win 2 giveaways this month! Of which, both Timothy and Brenda were nice enough to sign!!! 😀 But apparently I forgot to take a picture of that, and I’m too tired to put the effort to do that now. They are both signed though, I promise.
Already started and finished both of these soon as I got them.
NEW RELEASES
- Voyage of the Basilisk (Memoir by Lady Trent #3) by Marie Brennan
One my favorite series I’m currently reading. I think this was the only the second hardcover new release I’ve bought this year. That should say a lot to how excited I was this for one.
Also, what did everyone else think of the blue font? Best I can recall, it’s the first time I’ve read that style. Thought it might be an issue, but didn’t even notice it after the first couple pages.
MY AWESOME BOOK OUTLET STORE
- Pegasus (Pegasus #1) by Robin McKinley
- The Visible Man by Chuck Klosterman
There wasn’t anything popping out there this month that I just had to have, so I thought I might do a little searching outside the comfort zone.
I’ve seen Pegasus there quite a few times. Heard of Robin McKinley. Synopsis defiantly wasn’t the type of fantasy I usually read, but I thought, hey – why not give it a shot? Plus, be-a-utiful cover!
Then The Visible Man sounds like it will be more than an interesting read.
Have you picked up any new books this month? Read any of the ones I just grabbed or hear anything (good) about them?
Let me know what’s good!

I love the Lady Trent books. The hardcovers are so worth it, as the illustrations in them are just gorgeous. I had the arc of Voyage of the Basilisk though, so it didn’t have them, and also therefore I also didn’t see the blue font. Which sounds really strange.

I thought it was just mine – a misprint or something – maybe ran low on black ink? haha Went to google right away, but found out it was done on purpose. http://journal.swantower.com/2015/03/24/finished-copies-are-heeeeeeeere/

Cool blue font! I likely won’t see it tho because I will be listening to it on audio eventually. I have to listen to book two first tho.

All the art is blue coloring too. I thought that was pretty cool.
Book 2 is my favorite in the series! 🙂

I loved the illustrations in the first Lady Trent book. The voice was great and I liked the Dino’s.
Glad to see mine on there. This is so cool!
Lots of ebooks for me upcoming. The Ninth Wind by Moses Siregar III, Shower of Stones by Zachary Jernigan and The Dinosaur Lords by Victor Milan. I’m not a big fantasy reader, but add the audio of Rough Magick and continuing my hardback read of The Goblin Emperor and I’m looking the part!

Thanks for the comment Timothy!
Todd Lockwood is such an amazing artist!
I really enjoyed your book! Rush was a very sympathetic character, and seeing his transformation was great. Where we left off with Rush, I am very interested to see what happens come Sand Divers #2.
Can’t wait to read Dinosaur Lords too, and I hope you’re liking Goblin Emperor! (One of my favorites from last year!)

That’s awesome! Possibly for Danvar? Or maybe we heading over to East Coast? Don’t say! Just speculating off the top of my head some locations 🙂
