Since reading The Goblin Emperor I have wanting to read more from Sarah Monette, but had no idea where to start. An Apprentice to Elves is the third in the series, but from reviews I have read, and from Sarah and Elizabeth, it works fine as a stand alone.

Finn Fancy Necromancy looked like it would be the silliest, weirdest, and funniest story, and from what I’ve seen, that seems to what be what most people have thought it. With Fantasy Literature, they give you a giant list to choose from, and that one stood out to me immediately.

I was one of those lucky few, who was able to win one of the mega-sweepstakes. Two of these books are omnibuses, so, technically, I was actually won 6 novels! Wow!

The BEST part about this sweepstakes though, was it came with sampler booklet of Descent… singed by Robert Kirkman!!! 😀

It also came with a mini cover print, of A Rumor of Angels by Dale Bailey, and illustrated by Nicolas Delort.
